The hit news is that Nokia is going to return in the smartphone market with its highly anticipated Android phones in early 2017. Earlier this year there were news and talks about Nokia returning to the smartphone market with its new line up of phones which will run the Android OS. HMD a Finland based company will be the new home for the Nokia phones and will be selling the phones under the brand license of Nokia.

Nokia had previously experimented with the windows and Symbian hybrid OS for the Nokia x series of phones. But sadly the X series did not entice the people much. Nokia has had a huge struggle keeping up with the market previously after the release and success of android. The loyalists of the brand have their expectations set on Nokia’s return in the market and resume its reign again. These Android smart phone lineup has boasted the expectations of the loyalists.

Nokia has launched a phone section on its blog today. There were also some image leaks for the Nokia’s Android phone earlier in 2016. This has made sure that Nokia will be back with the Android phones in 2017. The leaked images showed some beautiful concepts for the Nokia phones. Let’s hope that Nokia keeps up with the expectations in terms of the design as well.  

The Phones are said to be named C1 and E1. The C1 will run android 6.0 with 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage which can be expanded to 256 GB, 4G + VoLTE support, Qualcomm MSM8976 Snapdragon 652, Octa-core  processor and sports a 5.5” IPS LCD capacitive display. The phone will be a mid-budget device with a price tag of around Rs. 20,000.

The E1 on the other hand will sport a 5” IPS LCD display, 4G + VoLTE, Qualcomm MSM8976 Snapdragon 652, Quad-core 2.3 GHZ, 2 GB RAM, 32 GB Expandable internal memory. The E1 will be a budget phone available for around Rs. 12,999.
